Porter/Sanitation 1st Shift

NORTHERN HASEROT “The Midwest's Leading Independent Food-Service Distributor since 1878” is adding to their Sanitation team! 2nd shift Porter openings available for immediate start!

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Porter to join our team. The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facility, ensuring a welcoming environment for both guests and staff. This position requires a proactive individual who is attentive to detail and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness and service in accordance with FDA/ODA standards.

The hours for this position are Monday through Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM

Responsibilities:

• Sweep aisles
• Clean spills both liquid and dry
• Recoup damages
• Operate single ride on pallet jack.
• Empty trash
• Operate trash compactor
• Wipe down guard rails.
• Other routine daily sanitation and cleaning duties​​ as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a cleaning or maintenance role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in the freezer for extended amounts of time.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
